Scientists have now discovered that they can reduce the amounts of proteins in the animal¿s skin to very low concentrations in a way that allows the slow loris to be used as a laboratory model of allergy. The research has been published in an international journal of allergic and immunology. In the journal paper, scientists from the University of Queensland, Melbourne and the University of Queensland in Australia describe how they have used what is essentially an injection to create these tiny molecules from the skin of a small mammal.

To make the skin of the slow loris, they inject a solution containing a number of proteins at a concentration of around 100 micrograms a kilogram into the skin of the animal. The solution is then rubbed into the animal¿s skin at the base of its skin, where the proteins attach to form the proteins. Once the skin and the injectable are fully coated, the skin then is applied to an animal like the slow loris and the injection process continues. The skin is then removed from the animal, as well as the injectable, and put on a microscope to view the proteins. To create the injectable, scientists injected a solution containing a number of proteins that were present in human and animal allergens, to see how much they could be reduced in the skin by using the skin of a small mammal as a laboratory model of food allergy. They found that the concentration of proteins in the skin of a small mammal could be reduced by about 70 per cent and by 90 per cent, respectively, and could be used to create a range of treatments from topical creams and gels to injection-based treatments to help slow loris.

New research by scientists from the University of Queensland reveals that loris have an unusual immune system. The slow loris is one of the few mammals to have a unique immune system. The loris lives in the forests of central and western China and northern Vietnam where it eats a plant called the lilemii. Scientists have found that this immune system may play an important role in loris' allergy. They discovered that the loris' lylemoid gland antabuse and mental illness which can be found in other loris, but not humans.

The scientists tested blood from antabuse and mental illness both vaccinated against the lilemii and non-vaccinated individuals. They found that the loris with immune deficiency, which they describe as a chronic immune system disorder, exhibited antibodies that had never been seen in humans before. The loris that remained immune had antibodies that had never been seen in humans. Lillies with immune deficiency displayed antibodies that had not previously been seen in humans. They said this was very rare, and likely reflects the fact that the loris may produce only a fraction of the antibodies needed to fight off the lilemii. In addition to the immune deficiency, researchers said it appeared that this loris had not been genetically adjusted to the disease.
